Even with the summer heat, we’ve been working hard to push out features that are highly requested by our MGA, insurance carrier, and independent agency partners!
We've implemented several smaller fixes in our agency appointment and onboarding workflows to make the entire experience easier and more intuitive. But we’ve also rolled out three significant feature enhancements. All users can now use bulk upload to onboard onto our platform faster. Additionally, we've added the ability to be found via an agent’s home state license number. Finally, we're providing onboarding agencies with greater precision in choosing the specific products they want to sell and the states in which they wish to operate.
Bulk Upload
The ability to bulk upload insurance agencies and agents has been the most requested feature since our launch. This feature allows our customers to migrate their current independent agent sales force onto our platform with just a few simple steps, whether they’re managing hundreds or thousands of agents. Our bulk upload enhancement also enables agency partners of our MGA and carrier customers to quickly upload their data.
We noticed that most of our customers and users were using CSV files to track their agency sales force. An MGA, carrier, or agency user can now take that CSV file, upload it to our platform, match the headers, validate that all the data is correct before submitting, and then upload all agencies and agents to our platform. The entire process takes just a few minutes!
Validation by State License Number
Many agencies still prefer to use their home state license number or may not know their NPN (National Producer Number) from NIPR (National Insurance Producer Registry). For those agencies in our customers’ networks, we’ve introduced the ability to onboard via agency and agent domiciled license numbers. Agencies can use this lookup in bulk uploads as well. If an agency doesn’t have either, we can also perform lookups using their tax ID.
Product and State Selection
As we’ve started working with larger MGAs and carriers, we’ve identified the need to allow agencies to select which products they want to sell and in which states they’ll operate. This feature is also beneficial for MGAs and carriers that may not want to appoint agencies in states where they do not intend to conduct business.
